San Francisco - the latest Microsoft operating system, Windows 7 is close to final. Beta version of the operating system is even available to the public on the upcoming May 5.

Windows 7 will be available at / downloads. The launch of the beta indicates that Microsoft will make the signal to avoid finishing criticism, as have occurred in the preceding, Vista.

"Listening to colleagues and customers, is important for developing Windows 7," said Bill Veghte, Senior Vice President Microsoft Windows business.

"We listen to them, and work hard to remove the best version in the history of Windows," he added.

Microsoft says the final version of Windows 7 later only small changes will occur. Features include among others the ability to control touch screen and can still run the software for the operating system before.

Vista never get harsh criticism, because it is too complicated as well as not compatible with previous software.
