1. From the start menu, click Run.
2. Next, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter or click Ok.
3. When Group Policy window opens, navigate the cursor to the tree the Local Computer Policy \ User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Start Menu and Taskbar.
4. Note the search options and prevent changes to Taskbar and Start Menu Settings in the right panel, double-click on the option.
5. Click Enabled, Click Ok.
6. Close the Group Policy window.
7. Right-click on the start menu, click Properties.
8. Notification that prohibit us to make changes to the settings will appear on the screen. Click Ok to close the notification.
9. To restore to its original, set the options prevent changes to Taskbar and Start Menu Settings to return to Not Configured or Disabled, click Ok.
