Broadcom trying to support Adobe Flash 10.1 0 komentar

Shortly after Adobe announced the latest version of flash, a leading graphics companies like NVIDIA, ATI and Intel have entered their names to support these technologies. Do not want to miss, Broadcom also helped provide support to the device hardware.

Broadcom is not a video accelerator is a graphics card that is 'standalone'. Thus, users do not need to buy it separately.

Although not dedicated to playing games, but the graphics card is claimed to optimize the quality of High Definition video class at netbook. So the video is showing would have outstanding qualities.

The first netbook to use this graphics card is the HP Mini 110. But what happened, some owners of these netbooks instead 'mempreteli' this graphics card to be installed on the netbook brands.

In the Adobe forum and MyHPMini, mentioned also that with a combination of Adobe Flash Player 10.1 with this graphics card, it can optimize the embedded Atom processor in a netbook for smooth high-resolution video playback.

Intrigued by my OS Google Chrome immediately searched the internet, who know there've beta version. At first I found gOS, and I think gOS stands for Google Chrome the OS. And it is not Google Chrome gOS operating system, but Good OS, and very unfortunate many who think gOS is Google Chrome the OS.

Good OS called gOS or no affiliation and relationships with companies like Google, although the automatic OSnya already embedded applications from Google.

I have tried to install gOS on my laptop, it was not difficult, it is because, gOS is still based on Ubuntu Linux (which I pake still based on Ubuntu 8.04.1). So Good OS is open source or free, freely modified or destroyed ..

Specifications also populist enough to install gOS, the following specifications:

Minimum:

300 MHz x86 processor

64 MB RAM

4 GB of disk space (for full installation and swap space)

VGA graphics card capable of 640 × 480 resolution

CD-ROM drive or network card

Recommendations:

700 MHz x86 processor

Moblin 2.1, Intel's latest OS 0 komentar

Intel is known as a reliable producer of processors issued labeled OS Moblin 2.1, this OS built Linux-based software for the bearer which provides many user interface. 

Intel's Moblin 2.1 announced at Intel Developer Forum the upgrade of the Moblin 2.0. Initially Moblin developed by Intel as an operating system for a netbook, but with Moblin 2.1, Intel to develop OS for desktop and handheld devices 

such as mobile Internet devices are supported by Atom processor and adapted to the hardware platform respectively. But the version of Moblin for nettops not available for download. 

Intel's Moblin 2.1 build also customize the user interface for users in several sizes for screen netbook, nettops (7 inches - 12 inches) and handheld devices. 

Intel's Moblin provide two applications, namely Moblin Garade and Moblin Application Installer which allows users to download, install or remove software. This terlah OS supports Bluetooth and 3G mobile broadband. 

Moblin has been used to test the previous OS, including the Acer Aspire One, Asus Eee PC and Dell Mini. Earlier this week, Intel officials said that the company will work with hardware companies to add hardware compatibility for OS. In 

on Wednesday, Dell began offering a version of Moblin Inspiron Mini netbook 10V.

Install Linux lewat USB Flashdisk 0 komentar

Bagi temen2 yang mau nginstall linux tapi males beli cd buat bootingnya ( ga modal banget ya..) dan mau lewat flashdis, bisa pakai sedikit tips ini.

1. Langsung aja dunlud softwarenya langsung.. namanya win32diskimager-RELEASE-0.1-r15-win32 (googling sendiri ya.. lupa alamatnya.. :) )
2. Colokin flashdisknya.. yang agak gede ya flashdisknya..
   
3. Jalankan softwarenya..
4. Pilih file *.IMG nya..
5. Pastiin flashnya udah dipilih
   
6. Trus klik write..
7. Selesai deh..
8. Restart
9. Trus ganti booting pertama lewat Flashdisk..
10. dan bla..bla..bla... tinggal nginstall doang..
    

Eh iya klo masternya berekstensi *.iso bisa pake software UNetbootin (googling sendiri lagi.. :) ). Caranya hampir sama.. pasti temen2 ngerti deh.. software2 di atas di jalanin di windows ya.. ada juga yang dijalanin d linux.. tinggal pilih mo dunlud yang mana..

Udah dulu ya.. udah jam 4 pagi.. ngantuk.. >_<

Install Canon IP1200 & IP1600 di Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 0 komentar

Kemarin sempat kebingungan juga caranya nginstall driver "Canon IP1200 & IP1600 di Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope".. Setelah muter-muter googling akhirnya ketemu juga caranya..  langkah-langkahnya sebagai berikut..

1. Download paket driver Canon iP2200 (cnijfilter-ip2200-2.60-2.i386.rpmcnijfilter-common-2.60-3.i386.rpm). dan
2. Kemudian install alien, ketikkan command line seperti di bawah ini:
   $ sudo apt-get install alien libxml1 libpng3
3. Bila alien telah terinstall pada sistem Anda, tahap berikutnya adalah merubah paket rpm yang telah di download tadi menjadi paket deb dengan menggunakan alien tadi. Ketikkan command line berikut ini:
   $ sudo alien cnijfilter-common-2.60-3.i386.rpm cnijfilter-ip2200-2.60-2.i386.rpm
   atau
   $sudo alien *.rpm
   Anda boleh menghapus paket rpm tadi, atau menyimpannya jikalau berguna suatu saat nanti.
4. Berikutnya install paket deb hasil konversi tadi, ketikkan command line berikut ini:
   $ sudo dpkg -i *.deb
5. Lalu kita buat symlinks terlebih dahulu dengan mengetikkan command line:
   $ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libtiff.so.4 /usr/lib/libtiff.so.3
   Pastikan printer Anda telah terhubung ke USB, lalu nyalakan printer tersebut dan restart CUPS (Common Unix Printing Systems) dengan mengetikkan command line berikut ini:
   $ sudo ldconfig
   $ sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart
6. Sekarang tinggal menambahkan printer ke CUPS. Klik pada menu System > Administration > Printing. Lalu klik tombol “New Printer” pada toolbar atau klik pada menu Edit > New Printer. Pilihlah melalui port mana printer Anda terhubung. Kalau Saya Canon iP1200 USB#1. Kemudian klik Forward. Pada kotak dialog berikutnya yang muncul, pilihlah Canon, lalu klik Forward lagi. Sekarang pilihlah iP2200 Ver.2.60 dari pilihan Models dan Canon iP2200 Ver.2.60 [en] (recommended) dari pilihan Drivers yang ada dan klik Forward. Isikan nama yang Anda inginkan pada Printer Name, Description dan Location, pada kotak dialog yang muncul. Akhiri dengan klik tombol Apply dan test print.
